Cyprus strengthening foreign investments and economic development

An event organised by Invest Cyprus and the Presidency of the Republic entitled “Foreign Investors Dialogue with the Cyprus Government: from feedback to action Cyprus’ Vision on Making Cyprus one of the best places to work, live and do business in” was both successful and particularly productive.

Hundreds of international investors attended the event at the Presidential Palace.

Held at the Presidential Palace on 8 February, the event brought together hundreds of foreign investors who have been active in Cyprus in recent years and who, in the presence of the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, were informed about the recent initiatives taken by the Government to improve our country’s business and investment environment.

Within this context, the progress of the Investment and Talent Attraction Strategy implemented since 2022 was presented, along with how it has been reinforced with new actions approved by the Council of Ministers on 7 February, 2024.

In his opening statement, the President of the Republic pointed out that the amendment of the Strategy was mainly based on the needs of the investment community as they were recorded during the round table discussion held last summer.

This was preceded by a greeting from the Chairman of Invest Cyprus, Evgenios Evgeniou, who sent a clear message of support to the investment world after first congratulating the State for its positive cooperation.

T This was followed by the presentations by the Ministers of Finance, Interior, Energy, Commerce and Industry, Labor and Social Insurance and Education, Sports and Youth, through which the actions being taken by the Government as a result of the dialogue with investors were laid out, along with those that are in the pipeline.

Finally, investors had the opportunity to ask the Ministers questions regarding the above actions which have, as their ultimate goal, making Cyprus one of the best places to work, live and do business in.

Investors had the opportunity to ask the Ministers questions directly.

The event ended with a cocktail reception.
