The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus) is conducting an online survey on the country’s aviation sector and its role in economic recovery, as part of the organisation’s efforts to support the Business and Investment Community.
The survey will be conducted between 14 and 17 May 2020 and its aim is to highlight the most important destinations, the “key” flights for foreign investors, as well as the most significant airport hubs, which allow access to global markets.
Invest Cyprus is extending an invitation to foreign companies and investors operating in Cyprus, as well as Cypriot professionals from all economic sectors, who travel abroad for business purposes. Additionally, Invest Cyprus is inviting any other interested company or entrepreneur to participate.
Invest Cyprus’ CEO George Campanellas stressed that in view of the gradual resumption of flights and selection of criteria for the destinations that will be secured, the aim of Invest Cyprus is to ensure that important business flights which are key to the recovery of our economy, will be included in the air-connectivity plan of the newly assigned Interministerial Committee. "As the Government’s Investment Authority, we have reshaped our action plan for the "day-after" while we have already submitted an official proposal to the President of the Republic suggesting ways to promote foreign direct investments into the country. Recovery will be achieved via external demand and it is of crucial importance that air services with key markets are promptly resumed.”
